Em Risley

Em Risley is a young up-and-coming singer-songwriter. Originally from Hertfordshire, Em studied music at the University of York and is currently based in Sheffield completing a PhD in music. Whilst completing her studies she undertook the role of musical director with the University of Sheffield Big Band.

Em has released her brand new EP 'Someone Who's Just Like Me' described by BBC's Christian Carlisle as 'stunning... open and honest'. The folk-pop EP, produced by local Sheffield talent Zak Michaud, features five original tracks and is available everywhere now!

To celebrate the launch of the EP, Em had a sellout show at the Dorothy Pax in Sheffield, accompanied on stage by her outstanding band and supported by singer-songwriter Lumarie.
